Yoga Styles and Class Descriptions



This dynamic and energizing practice integrates a flowing series of postures to create internal heat as you increase strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Emphasis on linking movement with breath, awareness, alignment and fun! Inspired by a variety of different yoga styles including Ashtanga and Power Yoga, our Power Flow Vinyasa will take you through a vigorous and detoxifying sequence emphasizing conscious breath and fluid movement to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Best for those who are comfortable with basic yoga postures and looking for a strong, healthy sweat. 


Prepare to move, sweat and be challenged with a vigorous and meditative practice. Build strength and focus; unite body, mind, and breath with this Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa Yoga class that draws from the primary series with some added FLOW. Includes back bends and inversions. Ashtanga is a powerful sequence that builds heat and strength.  This is a vigorous style of yoga that weaves breath and movement through a sequential order of asana(postures)that is meticulously followed. Each posture is a preparation for the next, developing the strength and balance required to move further. Open to all but an athletic practice!


A Vinyasa style practice great for beginners and advanced yogis, it is a disciplined, guided practice exploring the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa system as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, with room for variation. Includes the Basic Postures from the primary series. Appropriate for all levels but moves at a quicker pace than a true beginners or basics class.


An Intro to Yoga Series ideal for beginners and those wanting to reconnect with the basics of their practice. This slower paced introduction to the fundamentals of yoga will help you gain the confidence, strength and flexibility needed to try more advanced classes. Explore basic standing and seated postures, learn proper breathing techniques, correct alignment and relaxation methods. $75 for full series or drop in with class package. Sign up online anytime. This class will open your heart, energize your body and leave you fully relaxed. Yin yoga is a passive style of yoga meant to delve deep into the connective tissue of your joints, to find the deep recesses in your body and your mind. Commonly known for the length of time each posture is held (anywhere from 2-5 minutes) Yin yoga is a restorative practice that, through passive postures, will take you on a physical and mental journey of discovery.
